About Ben

My name is Ben Pharr, and I currently reside in Oxford, Mississippi with my wife Cassie.

As of October 2005, I am a computer scientist for a small defense contractor that recently opened an office in Oxford. Prior to that I was the network administrator for the Department of Computer and Information Science at the University of Mississippi.

I have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the University of Mississippi. I completed the coursework for my Master's degree in Computer Science in the Spring of 2005. I will defend my thesis in the Spring of 2006. At some point I plan to pursue a PhD in Computer Science.

Cassie has a master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction and is currently teaching 7th grade English and Reading at Como Middle School in Como, Mississippi.

Cassie and I are both originally from Belmont, Mississippi and graduated from Belmont High School. Our parents and siblings still live there.
